- Senior Session 2016 -

Senior year of high school is not only an important time for the student, but for the parents as well. I want to make the transition of your teen soon-to-be-adult a little less stressful so allow me to capture their favorite memories of their high school years. I really want to get to know the teen, find out what types of events they're involved in. I like to make the sessions fun and relate closely to what your teen loves. Basically, I want to discover WHO your teen is and then portray that through their pictures.

Pre-Consultation: I really strive to learn as much as possible about my clients and I encourage them to schedule a pre-consultation with me ahead of time. It can be as simple as a phone conversation or email exchange or we can set up a coffee chit chat to get to know each other. I want to get to know you so you feel 100% comfortable with me before the day of your session and get the jitters out so you look relaxed and know exactly what we’ll be doing the day of your session.

Your Session: I like to suggest you get your session together depending on what type of scenery you intend to include. If you're looking for wheat, look into a June session. If you're wanting to do some fun fall colors then make sure you don't book any earlier than the end of August. This is meant to highlight some of the teens favorite things so be sure to include special touches that will really make their shoot fun!

What To Bring: I encourage you to bring along anything and everything your teen is involved in. This means any type of clubs, sports or even special hobbies. Anything that highlights this point in their life. Big into sports? Bring along their bat, knee pads, jerseys and a couple balls. If they're into dance then have them pull out their old costumes to play with and photograph. And if your teen does nothing but sit at home and hides while playing video games, bring the controller along! Also, you might want to include a class ring if you have purchased one. Keep in mind that social media can work to your advantage, use Pinterest to find inspiration!

Time & Location: I only shoot seniors on week nights. For on location shoots, I prefer shooting right before sunset, that's always the best lighting but we can do a morning session if needed. Senior sessions usually last an hour or more depending on locations and the amount of changes we do. At the pre-consultation meeting on the phone or in person we can discuss the theme or mood you’re planning on going for and can choose from there the location as well as time. If you have a specific place that has sentimental value or significance to your make sure you let me know and we'll be sure to incorporate it.

Gallery Viewing Session: Something brand new for 2016 is something I’ve chosen to give my clients a full experience not just a single date of shooting and then never communicating again. A few weeks after your session we will schedule a viewing session where we sit down and view a slideshow of all of the images from your session as well as discuss what products you intend to create with your images. I will have product samples for you to view and can help you decide what other products you’re interested in ordering including photo albums, canvases, and digital files.

**All session packages’s require a deposit of $50 to book your session. This is a non-refundable deposit. The deposit ensures we hold your date and is then applied to your session fee. All session fees are due the day of your session. Digital files are not included in your session fee. Prints and products are sold separately at your viewing and ordering session after your shoot. Minimum print order is $50 with an average investment of about $250-$400 (including session fee and prints). Digital files are available for purchase once a minimum print order has been placed.**
