Engagement/Couple Session

You're finally tying the knot with your best friend, or you've made a commitment to be besties for awhile! First off congratulations, you've made the commitment to have a partner in crime for the rest of your life. Through thick and thin you'll always have someone to walk through life with you. What I cherish most about taking photographs is that I get to capture real moments or real people that are experiencing real emotion. I love capturing the love you and your fiance share. My photography style is relaxed and simple.

Your Session: Typically my sessions consist of a mix of candid and casually posed photographs. I use mostly natural lighting, if the weather permits, and we can do your session on my farm with the natural scenery or your favorite or fitting location for the theme that you're going for. This is all about you two and your relationship. Let's meet at a location that you two fell in love, or he asked you on a date at.

What To Wear: Bring along a couple different outfits or wardrobe changes. You can choose to change in the vehicle if we're at a location where the's no place to change. I suggest clothing without logos or wording as they'll stay timeless during the years to come. Instead of the old school rule of matching think of coordinating schemes to go with. Wear something that represents and reflex on your style or personality. If you're a cowboy don't get all dressed up in a suit and tie, those just don't look as flattering later down the line. But don't be afraid to go outside your comfort zone and dress up a bit, remember you will cherish these photos for years to come so put a bit of thought into what you'd like to see yourself in.

What To Bring: Bring any type of props you have in mind for your shoot. If you have a specific photograph that you like and want to re-create bring it to my attention, I'm here to make your memories turn into photographs so by all means share your ideas. If you have a specific theme in mind for the wedding make sure to bring items that will go with it. If you're using your engagement pictures for save-the-dates make sure to bring numbers to include on your wedding date. Also bring along family mementos that will be incorporated into your wedding.

Time & Location: For on location shoots, I prefer shooting right before sunset, that's always the best lighting but we can do a morning session if needed. Sessions usually last about two hours depending on locations and the amount of changes we do. If we need to go longer than the two hours I will honor that as I want to make sure we get the perfect photographs. We can agree on a location choice or if you have several places in mind we can arrange something that works. If you have a specific place that has sentimental value or significance to your make sure you let me know and we'll be sure to incorporate it into the shoot.

Editorial Engagement: Do you have a specific theme in mind? Is there a special theme your wedding is specifically shooting for that you really want to go above and beyond to make sure to include in your engagement pictures? An editorial engagement session might be just perfect for you! For an editorial engagement we will work together to come up with a highly stylized quality that goes with your theme. I will design story boards for the shoot with ideas that we've collaborated on and we will conduct the session closely with the story boards to get you the photographs and visions you and your fiance want.

Session Fees: A $50.00 non-refundable deposit is required to book your session with the remaining balance due on the day of your session, prior to starting. The items listed below are what your session will cover. I will honor the session price quoted if you've requested one but prices are subject to change.

Engagement Session Fee is $100.00

Session Fee Includes:

  • Location of your choice as discussed prior to the day of the shoot

  • Black and white conversions of all edited photos

Extras: Something new I've launched this past year in 2014 is that I am no longer offering a cd with full print rights included in my packages. To read more about my reasons for choosing to change this please read my post with the details. Instead I've choosen a "a la carte" style package so you can pick and choose what you'd like to include with your purchasing from your session.
          • Social Media Digital Downloads - $10
These are low resolution files with Dirt Road Photogrpahy logo on them to be used for social media sites. These are mainly intended for those who are wanting to share what fun they had during their session but don't have intentions of ordering other digital related prints.
          • CD with all edited images and full copyright release - $75
This is for you to take your images and have them printed wherever you prefer. I realize that a lot of people have worked with other photographers and this is simply the easiest way for you to receive hard copies of your photograph's but 85% of clients do not even print their photos. I highly suggest printing them right away!
          • Prints off of website - 25% Discount
This is something I offer for all sessions so you can get lab quality prints at a lower price. I like to give clients a discount to encourage them to order right away so they don't forget! It's also a nice way to share with family members that they're welcome to order prints for themselves as well!
          • Proof book- $45
Some people like to have a book to show others what they can order from their session, it's also a great way to have all your pictures printed into one book to look at later and share with friends
          • Additional Edits - $10/image
If you would like more images than allotted per package we can add them onto your session. Keep in mind that by adding more images to your session it may take longer for you to receive them as I will need more time to complete your session.
          • Specialty Products - Prices Vary
There are so many customized fun products we can do with your pictures so make sure to check out the link with other product ideas. From phone cases to customized invitations we can do it all!
